Designing verified, traceable system architectures for implantable neuromodulation devices that treat epilepsy patients, using Model-Based Systems Engineering to translate clinical and functional requirements across electrical, software, and mechanical domains into reliable designs that directly support patient safety.
- Developing and maintaining SysML system architecture models (Cameo/MagicDraw), capturing behavioral, structural, and parametric views to drive requirements traceability from specification through verification and test of implantable neuromodulation systems.
- Interfacing with hardware, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to resolve cross-domain integration conflicts and maintain interface consistency across safety-critical medical device subsystems.
- Evaluating system-level cybersecurity, safety, and reliability constraints, modeling compliance requirements and risk controls essential to protecting patient safety in implantable medical device development.
- Establishing bidirectional traceability between system-level requirements and design, implementation, and validation artifacts to support regulatory compliance for life-sustaining medical devices.
